Lorenzo Win at Mugello

Mugello – Jorge Lorenzo proved himself as the fastest rider in the race for 23 laps at the Mugello Circuit, Italy, Sunday (07/15/2012). Start from the second position, he directly overtaking Honda rider Dani Pedrosa, and hold the position to enter the finish line.
Meanwhile, Pedrosa, the pole position holder, had to settle for finishing in second place. Repsol Honda rider is powerless against the aggressiveness of Lorenzo, who had been giving indications would be hard to beat, when he dominated the three free practice on the ninth of this series. Lorenzo lost only when qualified, because he had an electronic problem on his bike, when trying to beat Pedrosa record time.

The third position occupied by the satellite Tech 3 Yamaha rider Andrea Dovizioso. It became the third podium in a row for Dovizioso, who targetting one seat  left on the factory Yamaha team, replacing Ben Spies, who this time finishing in the top-11.

With this result at Mugello, Lorenzo, who posted a fifth victory during the 2012 season, stay firmly on top of the standings with 185 points total. He was 19 points ahead of Pedrosa in second place. Meanwhile, Stoner had to get only eight points  in this race, after finishing in eighth place. Thus, Lorenzo getting farther in front of  Stoner, with  37 points difference.

After the start, Lorenzo immediately aggressive and managed to overtake Pedrosa on the first corner. Not long ago, Dovizioso, who started from sixth place also managed to beat Pedrosa, who are pressured by Hayden.

Entering the second lap, the fight in the front row is still held tight between Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Pedrosa, Hayden, Stefan Bradl. Stoner meanwhile surged to sixth, shifting Hector Barbera, who had experienced severe vibrations on the bike.

On the third lap, Bradl overtaking Hayden. Meanwhile, Lorenzo slowly began to make the distance with his rivals. On lap the fifth, 2010 world champion already superior more than 0.8 seconds over Pedrosa, which managed to overtake Dovizioso. This time Lorenzo posted a time of 1 minute 48.023 seconds, while the circuit record last year was 1 minute 48.402 seconds.

One lap later, the composition changes when Stoner overtook Hayden to go up to fifth, and Bradl successfully beat Dovizioso to take third place. Bradl utilizing Dovizioso small error when entering the bend where he drive rather wide to the right.

However Stoner experiencing less good fate on the lap-10, because his motor entering gravel because find no good moments for the cornering. Luckily, the Australian rider managed to resolve the situation by making the right decision not to force himself to turn, so he must exit the track. On returning to the track, Pedrosa teammate  was ranked the 10th.

Meanwhile in the front row, Lorenzo is in very good momentum for embracing the fifth victory of the season of 2012, as well as repeating the success of last year at the Mugello Circuit. The reason, he was 1.5 seconds ahead of Pedrosa. The Spanish duo was again disturbed by Bradl and Dovizioso, competing third place.

When the race four laps remaining, the competition again among some riders. Dovizioso was close Bradl, as well as Crutchlow gave serious threat to Rossi fighting for sixth position, which is also attached to Hayden in fifth.

After the Italian GP, the rider has a recess for two weeks before appearing on the series-10 at Laguna Seca, United States. But first, they will undergo an official trial post-race at Mugello, starting Monday (16/07/2012).
