City Firmly on Top

London – Manchester City now five points clear over United at the top of the Premier League with victory over Blackburn on Saturday, while Chelsea beat Bolton to relieve the pressure on manager Andre Villas-Boas.

With the second ranked team, City took full opportunities for their opponents, to put pressure on rivals, Manchester United who play host on Sunday to face Norwich, to win three points at Eastlands.

Goals from Mario Ballotelli, Sergio Aguero and substitute Edin Dzeko, lock the 3-0 victory for Roberto Mancini’s forces, which extend 100 per cent winning record at home to 13 matches this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Villas-Boas can draw a sigh of relief after watching his team beat Bolton 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
